#SLACfest Presents: Vanessa Fisher

With #SLACfest being an event entirely organised by young people, we understand the importance of getting our voices heard so what better way than to use our platform to get more of our voices heard.

Excited would be an understatement as we introduce our very own Star Lady, Vanessa Fisher… another #SLACfest 2019 speaker!

Vanessa Fisher is a London based actress that primarily works in Musical Theatre and has appeared in shows such as Motown the Musical, The National Theatre’s Follies and most recently Joseph and the Amazing Colour Dreamcoat at The London Palladium.

As well as acting, Vanessa teaches dance and drama to under 18’s and also co-founded the non-profit organisation Stepping Up Salone with her cousin Shamsu Pappenthein.

The organisation works towards bettering the lives of Sierra Leoneans and its expatriates by supporting female education, promoting safety and hygiene of primary schools and teaching fitness and wellbeing to all ages in Freetown.

Vanessa’s main aim is to continue to build partnerships with fellow Sierra Leoneans to create opportunities for the Country and is very honoured to be speaking at SLACfest this year.
